Trip to Vienna

Arrival at Vienna Airport and private transfer to the hotel.

Enjoy a city tour along the famous Ringstrasse and see Vienna's most important tourist attractions. Then follow in the footsteps of Empress Sissi and Emperor Franz Joseph at Schönbrunn Palace.

First, take a look at the impressive Vienna State Opera, home of the famous Opera Ball held annually. Not far from the opera stands the grand Hofburg Palace, the former winter residence of the imperial family. Next, you will see the monumental buildings of the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Naturhistorisches Museum.

Other highlights of our tour include the neoclassical Parliament, the acclaimed Burgtheater, and the striking Rathaus (Vienna City Hall) with its celebrated 3.5-meter-tall golden standard-bearer sculpture, the "Rathausmann" – one of Vienna's symbols and the namesake of a prestigious award.

Upon arrival at Schönbrunn Palace, our visit will take you through the historic state rooms, where you will learn how the imperial family lived. Afterwards, you will have time to stroll through the palace gardens.

On a guided walk through Salzburg's historic center, we will show you the most popular tourist attractions. One of the famous scenes from The Sound of Music was filmed in the gardens of Mirabell Palace – it was here that Maria sang "Do-Re-Mi" with the children at the fountain and on the steps. You will also see the horse pond and the riding school where Baron von Trapp sang "Edelweiss" as a farewell.

A true highlight of our trip to Salzburg is Getreidegasse, the street where Mozart's birthplace is located. This narrow lane still evokes the atmosphere of the 18th century. Other attractions on our excursion include the University Church, St. Peter’s Abbey, Salzburg Cathedral, and the Festival Palace.

You will have free time to explore the city, enjoy a meal, or shop for souvenirs before departure.
